Logitech G512 SE Review

The Logitech G512 Special Edition is a full-size (100%) wired mechanical gaming keyboard with proprietary switches similar to Cherry MX Blues. These clicky switches deliver a satisfying and light typing experience, though they may be too loud for quiet office environments. Logitech’s G HUB software offers extensive customization options, but the lack of onboard memory is disappointing, as profiles require the software to be exported to another computer. While most features are common among mechanical gaming keyboards, clicky switch enthusiasts will appreciate its performance.

The Logitech G512 SE excels in gaming. Its blue switches are highly responsive, and the audible clicks confirm keystroke registration. The full RGB backlighting enhances dark-room gaming and key visibility. Function keys can be reprogrammed with macros, though MMO players might miss dedicated macro keys.

Pros:

– Responsive keyboard with remarkable latency.

– Good build quality.

– Short pre-travel.

Cons:

– No wrist rest included.

– Clicky switches can be too loud.
